Domain Control Panel Help

The SpamStopsHere service has a flexible, easy-to-use web-based Control Panel. You can change your domain's configuration, update your account information and more.
Configure your domain from the Control Panel. If you have multiple domains, each can be configured independently. Most changes will take up to 10 minutes to take effect. Please allow up to 15 minutes.

If you have a firewall between your email server and the Internet, you should consider configuring it so that only the SpamStopsHere mail relays are allowed to connect directly to your mail server (on the SMTP port). This will prevent email sent to your domain from bypassing our relays, and thus our filtering service. You can click here for more information.

If you do decide to set up a firewall as described, you will first want to remove any remaining DNS MX records that list your actual email server, leaving only the MX records that list SpamStopsHere’s mail relays. After this is done, you will need to wait a period of time to allow any cached references to your old configuration to expire. The length of time to wait is determined by the time value listed for your DNS’ TTL (“Time to Live”). Preferably, you should wait a minimum of 72 hours.

When implementing a firewall, you must check the box in the control panel that notifies us that you are using a firewall (“Firewall enabled for mail server …”). The list of IP addresses of our relay servers is listed in the area labeled “Current IP Addresses”. It is important that only these IP numbers be allowed access to your mail server through the firewall.

SpamStopsHere takes great effort to ensure that this list of IP numbers changes very infrequently, minimizing any future changes you might need to make to your firewall’s configuration.

To view the firewall configuration information and notify us that you are using a firewall:

  1. In the Configuration Options section of your Control Panel, click on the "Edit" link next to "Firewall" (under "Mail Server Settings").
  2. Check the "Firewall enabled for mail server" box under "Firewall Settings".
  3. Click on the "Save" button to save the changes.

Note: It may take up to 10 minutes to see the full effect of the new settings, as the changes need time to propagate throughout all our servers.
